Delivering Efficiencies in Asset Management and Construction
Welcome to the Surrey Collaboration website. On this site you can find the latest news about our projects and details of the other partnering activity in Surrey.
Working in partnership with iESE
The 'Surrey Collaboration Project' will deliver Surrey-wide construction procurement improvements. Construction and consultancy frameworks set up by Improvement and Efficiency South East (iESE), have proved very successful in this field at a regional level.

The development of three framework arrangements local to Surrey. The projects will be led by Surrey County Council on behalf of all the Surrey authorities.

A collaborative approach to the strategic management of public sector assets across Surrey. The iESE/Surrey Public Sector Estate Review begins this process, led by Surrey County Council with the aim of providing asset benefits to the whole Surrey Public Sector estate.
This project would be to consider a joint venture arrangement between councils. This would need to interface with the Surrey First project that is signed up to by the 11 councils in Surrey.
Stop press - Our work is featured in latest iESE Autumn newsletter Opens in a new window.
The next Project Forum has been arranged for 29 March 2012 and invitations will be issued during December.
Our Vision Statement - working in collaboration to deliver efficiencies in Asset Management and Construction, so providing better outcomes in service delivery for our communities.
The Surrey Collaboration Group is a body of local authority officers and members working in partnership to find efficiencies in the way assets are managed and maintained in Surrey.
The Group has both the financial and technical support of iESE and the work has been endorsed by the Surrey Chief Executives and Strategic Directors Groups and has set an ambitious programme of work to manage how we achieve efficiency in the following areas by June 2011:
1) Asset Management and Construction Frameworks
2) Asset Utilisation across Surrey
3) Collaborative working and Joint Venture initiatives
This website has been created by the Group on behalf of Surrey local authorities, the Police and PCTs to provide information about our work which will keep you aware of the opportunities this work may provide to your future service delivery and we hope you will find the information useful and informative.
Based on the excellent practice already adopted in other areas across the South East and our own ground breaking work, we are confident that the collaborative approach we are adopting in Surrey, to secure improvement efficiency in this field, will be beneficial to all public sector organisations in Surrey and the South East and we invite you to take an interest and support the work we are doing.
So far our work has received the support of districts and boroughs, the County and the Police and has member support. Through our working together we believe we can achieve so much more for our individual communities.
